LAMINATION

Lamination Printing is the technique of coating paper or card sheets with a thin layer of plastic to improve and protect the printed material. Gloss, matt, and silk laminates are the most common varieties of laminate. Packaging, book covers, brochures, business cards, and other printed products frequently utilise lamination.
Why Laminate?
The user benefits from lamination coatings because they are tear-resistant, more durable, and water-resistant. Laminating materials also allows them to be handled more easily and protects them from ordinary wear and tear, such as creasing, staining, and sun damage.
Silk Lamination:
Silk lamination is similar to conventional lamination in that it coats regular paper with a layer of plastic to make it stronger, more appealing, and more robust. Silk lamination, on the other hand, has a softer exterior and higher quality owing to the strength of the connection established between the paper and the plastic covering of the lamination.
The material is neither wholly matt nor completely glossy, but it does reflect light in the same way as silk does. Because the surface is smooth and natural appearing, the product will be more appealing and will be seen as a ‘luxury’ choice. Business cards, brochures, and book covers are frequently finished with silk lamination. It’s a versatile finish that offers a clean appearance to a variety of items.
Matt Lamination:
Matt lamination creates a beautiful and refined look, which is why it is so popular. A matt laminate has a more natural appearance than other finishes. Matt lamination, as opposed to gloss lamination, can give a softer effect by reducing contrast on darker colours. The velvety feel of a matt laminate gives it a pleasurable handling experience for many people.
Gloss Lamination:
Gloss laminates are a popular choice, and it’s easy to understand why. Writing and images seem crisper and sharper, with increased contrast. Gloss lamination is also a long-lasting option since it easily repels dirt, dust, and fingerprints. Due to its glossy and shining texture, the laminate is readily wiped clean if it comes into touch with dirt.
